"Exceptional customer service, super professional, stellar work. I had a handful of tasks around the house and in an airbnb I’d been swearing I’d get around to fixing/ doing (shelf assembly, replacing a toilet paper holder that got yanked out of the drywall, setting up patio furniture, installing an overhead LED light) but after months upon years of not making it happen I was pleasantly surprised and grateful to find a service to knock everything out in one trip. Keith was very knowledgeable and eager to exceed my expectations on every task. I can’t stress enough how highly I recommend Mai Time"

Ceiling Fan Installation in Orange, CA
Old fan wobbling, a light that should be a fan, a patio that needs a breeze — Keith hangs it level, tight, and quiet, and cleans up before he leaves.
Ceiling Fan Service
Ceiling Fans Hung Level and Quiet in Orange, CA
New fan, old fan, or a light you want swapped for one — we hang it straight, tight, and quiet.
Summers in Orange get hot, and a ceiling fan that wobbles, clicks, or barely moves air makes it worse. Keith takes down the old fan, checks that the ceiling box can hold the new one, and hangs it level so it runs quiet on high. Fans with light kits, remotes, and long downrods for tall ceilings are all part of the job.
We hang fans in bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, and covered patios from Villa Park to Irvine. Got more on the list? A light fixture or switch, a TV that needs mounting — we'll take care of those in the same visit. And if you can't be home, we text photos as the work gets done.

Ceiling Fan Trouble
Ceiling Fan Problems We Fix Around Orange County
Most fan trouble comes down to a few common causes. Here's what we see most.
-
Fan Wobbles on High
Usually loose mounting screws or uneven blades — we tighten, square it up, and balance every blade.
-
Clicking or Humming Noise
A loose canopy, blade screw, or light kit part is usually rattling — we track it down and snug it.
-
Drooping or Bent Blade
Old blades and blade arms can sag over time, throwing the whole fan off balance and starting a wobble.
-
Dated Fan That Barely Moves Air
A tired old fan on a hot Orange afternoon — we swap it for a new one in one visit.
-
Patio Fan Rusting Out
Indoor fans hung outside, or salty beach air, rust the housing — swap it for a fan rated for outdoors.

Fans for Local Homes
What Orange County Homes Need From a Ceiling Fan
The houses and the weather here shape which fan you want and how it needs to go up.
Hot Inland Summers
Orange, Anaheim, and Villa Park get hot, so fans run hard for months and need to stay balanced.
Older Ranch Homes in Orange
Many 1950s–70s tract homes have boxes made for lights only, so we check before swapping in a fan.
Vaulted and Sloped Ceilings
Tall, sloped ceilings in Irvine and Tustin Ranch need longer downrods and a slope-ready mount.
Eichler Beam Ceilings
Orange's Eichler homes have exposed post-and-beam ceilings, so fan placement takes a little extra planning.
Salt Air in the Beach Cities
Near the coast, salt air rusts metal fast — outdoor-rated fans hold up far better on beach patios.

Ceiling Work Reviews
Orange County Reviews for Lights, Fixtures, and Ceiling Jobs
"I’ve used Mai Taime a few times and I am beyond impressed! As an interior designer I often find myself needing miscellaneous things done around homes and finding the right people for the things I need done can be a headache! So far they have hung art for me, installed faucets in an entire home, replaced vanity mirrors, helped a client with their plumbing issues, switched out lighting fixtures, and installed new faceplates on all the switches and outlets. I’m very big on details and they clearly are too! So far any request has been met to perfection. Plus always on time, always clean up, and my clients have always say great things after I bring them in!"
"I had a few things I needed done and Keith was up to the task. Built an exterior water heater door that was weather resistant, leveled and secured a heavy gate, fixed my front door that would get stuck and made an additional gate usable again. We agreed on a time and he was there when promised, gave me updates and photos as things progressed and charged me a fair fee for all the work he did. Highly recommended"
Ceiling Fan Questions
Ceiling Fan Installation FAQs for Orange, CA
Can you put a ceiling fan where my light fixture is now?
Often, yes. A fan is heavier than a light and it moves, so it needs a box rated to hold a fan. We check the box before anything goes up — if it's fan-rated, the swap is usually quick, and if it isn't, we'll tell you straight before any work starts.
Why does my ceiling fan wobble?
Most wobble comes from loose screws at the mount or blade arms, a bent blade, or blades that weigh a little different from each other. We tighten everything, check that the fan hangs straight, and balance the blades. A wobble that won't quit can mean a loose box, and we'll check that too.
Can you install a fan on a vaulted or sloped ceiling?
Yes. Many homes in Irvine and Tustin Ranch have vaulted ceilings, and those fans need a longer downrod and a mount made for the slope. Tell us roughly how high the ceiling is when you book, and we'll plan the ladder and downrod length before the visit.
Can I use a regular indoor fan on my covered patio?
We don't recommend it. Patio fans are rated for damp or wet spots, while a regular indoor fan can rust and wear out early in open air — especially near the coast, where salt air is hard on metal. We'll help you check the rating on the box before we hang it.
Will you take my old ceiling fan away?
Yes. When we take down an old fan, we gather up the motor, blades, and glass and haul it all away so it isn't sitting in your garage. We also clean up the dust that falls off the tops of the blades — older fans usually have plenty of it.
